Hoover Fiasco explained through Management Astrology

Hoover Fiasco of UK is a classic case study in Management Astrology. It is the people who run the organisation, thus planetary position in the horoscope of key personnel of an organisation is extremely important. Third house in a horoscope rules communication. If the third house of key personnel of an organisation is under the influence of Rahu or Ketu, miscommunication is bound to happen, and it can finish the organisation. Probability of occurrence of such miscommunication can be predicted by analysing the horoscopes of key decision makers as well as the general analysis of that organisation. We don’t have horoscopes of key personnel of Hoover, thus we are trying to explain the Hoover Fiasco with the help of numerology. Hoover launched marketing promotion by the name of Free Flight Promotion scheme in 1992. The scheme bombed and Hoover couldn’t deliver what it promised (Thus a perfect example of miscommunication). Troubles started for the company in 1993 and litigations went on till 1998. The disaster cost the company almost 50 million pounds and subsequently British division of Hoover was sold to the Italian Manufacturer Candy. Maytag was the parent company of Hoover, and after the fiasco, William Foust, MD and Brian Webb, Vice President of Marketing were sacked. Another point to note is that in 1993, Hoover Holidays pressure group was formed led by Harry Cichy and Sandy Jack. Sandy Jack took Hoover to court and also garnered public attention through media.

Now we have 5 key elements to analyze. The year 1993 (when the things worsened for the company), The Parent company Maytag, the sacked officials William Foust and Brian Webb who were the key decision makers, and the person from Hoover Holidays pressure group who took Hoover to court, Sandy Jack.

Year 1993 totals to 22 which further added gives no 4. Four is the number of Rahu

Maytag (13+1+25+20+1+7) totals to 67 which further added gives no 4, again Rahu.

William (23+9+12+12+9+1+13) Foust (6+15+21+19+20) totals to 160 which further added gives no 7, the number of Ketu.

Brian (2+18+9+1+14) Webb(23+5+2+2) totals to 76 which further added gives no 13 and thus 4, Rahu again.

Sandy (19+1+14+4+25) Jack(10+1+3+11) totals to 88 which further added gives 16 and thus 7, Ketu again.

Had the company anticipated this in advance and took help from Management Astrology, appropriate checks would have prevented this fiasco. An important clarification here is that exaggerated claims are usually a symptom of Rahu and misinterpretation of a marketing message by the target segment is a symptom of Ketu. There are certain Business Environments or target segments where exaggerated claims don’t get caught and Rahu does more good than bad in such Environments. If we leave ethics for a while, Rahu proves to be a key success factor in such environments.
